the exceptional result to your palate.
Grape varieties: Sangiovese and a small
percentage of complementary varieties
Location of vineyards: selected grapes from
the Perone and Presoni del Morini vineyards on the Mocenni
estate, near Vagliagli. The structure and composition of the
terrain give it a true vocation for fine wine. South /southwestern
exposure.
Altitude: 400-450 m.
Soil: for the most part alberese and galestro
Training system: spur cordon
Age of vineyard: 10 – 30 years
Vineyard density: 3.500 – 5.500 vines
per hectare
Vinification and aging: fermentation took
place in stainless steel vats and maceration lasted for 16
– 18 days at a controlled temperature of 28/30°C.
Shortly after alcoholic fermentation the wine was transferred
into oaken barriques where malolactic fermentation took place
and where it was aged for 15 months. The bottled wine then
remained a further three moths stored on the estate for refinement
prior to its release on the market.
Colour: intense ruby red
Nose: an ample, complex bouquet, with hints
of ripe fruit, cinnamon and vanilla.

wine mineral and fresh. These characteristics, together with
velvety tannins, bring a balanced prestige to the wine. Aging
in barriques permits the wine to evolve and refine.
Alcohol: 13,5 % Vol.
Notes: retains its characteristic properties,
improves with aging.
